Talking to the groovy and clever Clementine Dahlia is exhausting. The conversation is so banter-heavy, that when we're done, we both need a nap. In the interest of sparing you our endless chatter, here are the highlights of an afternoon with Dahlia.

Clementine on her public versus real life persona:

"I'm a complete dork. I don't think I've ever realised it until one of my friends pointed it out to me after she recorded me. I feel like people can never know how I really am or this concept of Hermione would be ruined. But then I always have to remember that I am my own person and I'm not her, so I would be hoping that that's okay and I wouldn't be breaking too many hearts."

"I think the public life is something I'll never get used to. Even if I've been dealing it for a really long time, it's just one of those things that you either love or you hate. Knowing what I know now, I wish I would have made my time with the constant cameras fun. But I'm not complaining, starting out young and being surrounded by Britain's most finest has helped me tonnes with my acting. Dame Maggie Smith has given me amazing tips! We still keep in touch and quite funny!"

On theatre:

"Once was and is the greatest experience of my life after Harry Potter. I got to really feel like a person instead of just "the wizard girl". The cast and I are really close and I honestly wouldn't trade any of it for gold. Pun intended. But I really did feel like an outcast at first because when had our first rehearsal, everyone bragged about playing at least 5 instruments and I hadn't touched a piano for about 5 years!"

On being focused:

"I'm a horrible multitasker but I'm also a wonderful forgetter. Is that a word? It is now. The sad thing is that I only get creative when I'm massively bored. The other day I had a free day and what I did was end up painting my whole flat white and I just doodled all over it. It came out pretty cool actually, I'm proud."

On travelling solo versus with others:

"It's upsetting being alone, mostly cos no one can laugh at my jokes."

The last thing she bought:

"More space for my iCloud. The Hanks has been taking way too many selfies and I don't want to delete any of them."

On dating in New York versus London:

"I don't date. Boys suck, you waste your best mascara on them."

"No but really, I think after my mum passed away I could never see myself settling down or dating. Mostly because I'm way too invested in taking care of my dad. Maybe if he starts to date someone and I see that he's not alone, I'll give you a call and give you exclusive details on what I'm looking for in a person."

Current girl crush:

"Donna Hayward from Twin Peaks. Always had it."

Habit to drop:

"Stop texting less. Enjoy life more."

The first thing people notice about her?

"My smile. They say I'm the next Joker, I'm proud of it."

What would she like people to know about?

"If you're ever walking by Harry Potter World and think that the person you saw walking by is me, I will confirm right now that yes it is me."

Childhood career ambition?

"I wanted to be a potato. You can be so many things when you're a potato, you make so many people happy."

What do you think?
